Hospital of the Future

The competition entry sets out a modern hospital with a central patient reception, a children’s department, an anaesthesia–resuscitation unit, gynaecology, medical training areas and rehabilitation.

The mass of the building is divided according to its individual functions, so that the way into the hospital — and to the emergency department — stays clear and legible.

Outdoor atriums give patients and visitors places to breathe, and an inner atrium holds the main reception. The façade is articulated with horizontal and vertical concrete ribs, window openings and integrated shading.
