Office Building Blumenau

The Blumenau administrative building is an existing twelve-storey structure near the Patrónka traffic junction. The reconstruction was comprehensive, taken right down to the supporting concrete frame.

New brick parapets with concrete borders carry aluminium windows set in a checkerboard pattern across the floors, while concrete-finished parapets reinforce the strong horizontality of the façade.

Entrance areas were redesigned, a café was placed at basement level, and the vertical cores — lifts, stairs and sanitary facilities — were repeated cleanly through every above-ground floor.
